Civil Ceremony Rooms

Crowne Plaza Basingstoke offers a choice of four suites licensed to hold civil ceremonies and partnerships.

Ranging from our smallest suite, The Andover for up to 40 guests to our largest venue, the Winchester Suite with a capacity of up to 100 guests, we have a room that will be just right for you and your party.

The perfect venue for your special day, The Winchester Suite which has been newly refurbished in 2018 is an ideal venue for your Wedding Breakfast and/or Evening Reception.Capture the mood beautifully with the contemporary and lavish décor of our premier suite and celebrate with family and friends on the dance floor in style.The Winchester Suite provides you with full exclusivity for you and your guests, with a private reception area and bar.

1449 Restaurant, Bar & Grill
Our brand new 1449 Restaurant, Bar & Grill provides a stunning, contemporary alternative to the Winchester Suite, boasting panoramic views of the beautiful, green gardens from its modern conservatory dining area.The garden comes complete with a brick built BBQ and outdoor seating for al fresco dining. You will have full exclusive use of the garden area and the restaurant during the course of your event.

  • We couldn't have been happier with all aspects of our wedding reception at Crowne Plaza Basingstoke. Our wedding coordinator Zuzana was especially friendly and helpful and we felt she was personally invested in our preparations. The food was great and in generous portions. The hotel took on board all our guests' dietary requirements with no issue. We paid extra to have use of the conservatory for the meal in the afternoon and then used the Winchester Suite for the evening party which suited our arrangements perfectly as we could use the outside space for drinks before the meal. We had to move out of the conservatory at 6pm but we were made aware of this so we could plan the day around this and the waiting staff were so efficient in serving the food that this was not a problem. We wanted a very practical location and the hotel was easy to get to, had plenty of parking and rooms available. The hotel had been recently refurbished so all the rooms and the communal areas were in a great condition. We would definitely recommend the Crowne Plaza to anyone looking for a wedding venue in the area.

  • When my husband and I planned our recent wedding, a wedding in a hotel was not necessarily our first choice, however we had a few disabled guests who we knew would benefit from the excellent facilities offered at the Crowne Plaza. Zuzana our event co-ordinator was wonderful from the very first meeting and re-assured us that despite our reservations we would have a magical wedding day. Unfortunately life deals some rough cards, and not all the disabled facilities were needed- but Zuzana was right, our special day was truly magical, and one we will always treasure. Everything was fantastic, the attention to detail just amazing- from the ceremony, to the wedding breakfast through to the last dance of the evening ( or should I say early hours of the morning!) Siva, our amazing host for the day, was so organised , he had everything under control and was such a calming influence, Harry our barman and his fellow colleagues ensured that all our guests had a wonderful time. I can honestly say I don’t think we stopped smiling! Thank you to all the staff at the Crowne Plaza for making our day so special and for ensuring we have such wonderful memories. We cannot thank you enough and think you are all truly awesome!!

  • We held our Son’s and Daughter in Law’s wedding reception at Crowne Plaza Basingstoke and were delighted with every aspect of their service. From the first contact they demonstrated a friendly, helpful and totally professional attitude. Events Manager Zuzana covered every detail attentively, made many helpful suggestions and anticipated our needs giving us full confidence that everything was under control. On the day every member of staff performed faultlessly. We felt treated like royalty and nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent, the room beautifully prepared and everything was done to allow us to relax and enjoy the day. The whole event was reasonably and flexibly priced. We could not have asked for more.

  • We held our informal wedding reception at the refurbished Crowne Plaza hotel. Why informal? We wanted to surprise our guests who thought they were attending a birthday party. I can’t thank the management and staff enough for all their help with the planning and organisation in the short space of time allowed. From the wedding ‘breakfast’ for the only 10 guests in the know through to the early evening buffet where even a ‘kids’ corner was put together. The meal and buffet food was excellent value and the breakfast buffet is the best I have had in all the many UK hotels we have visited. The refurbished bedrooms are a dream and the bed is really comfortable. The staff were very receptive to the few children who attended. So all in all a great experience.

    I would definitely recommend this hotel.

After two very successful Wedding Fayres this year. We are delighted to announce our Autumn Wedding Fayre on Sunday the 15th September 2019 from 12.00 Noon till 4.00 PM

We will be joined by some of our fabulous local suppliers to help create your perfect day, our experienced team will be around for full  full show round of our beautiful venue. Free entry, no ticket required.
